The Topp Twins began their careers as singer-songwriters touring with Split Enz, Billy Bragg, Midnight Oil and busking on the streets of Auckland. Over time, their songs became a vehicle for their comedy and what is now a polished theatrical performance style.  They have won many awards for their TV and stage shows, and both their CDs have won Best Country Album at the NZ Music Awards.
