2008 WA Country Music Award Winners

The Western Australian Country Music Awards are unique and are held in conjunction with the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival. This event continues to go from strength to strength. 2009 will be the 24th Country Music Festival for Western Australia and has certainly brought some big named artists over that time.

Entries for the WA Country Music Awards attract interest from all over the State and are open to professional and amateur artists. Entrants are required to send in a package of one CD, a quality photograph and a musical biography.

Songwriters must include the lyrics to their chosen songs.

The WA Country Music Awards will be staged during the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival –  12th – 15th February 2009, where the top three contestants in each category will perform at a “Gala Awards Presentation’ on Friday 13th February. Competitors will be judged by a panel of high profile industry members and leading industry talent scouts.

The biggest reward for finalists and winners is, knowing that people love their music and it reaches all walks of life.
