As an accomplished guitarist and Singer/Songwriter, Jason has wowed audiences at many festivals and events such as; Tamworth Country Music Festival, Gympie Muster, BnS Balls, Ute Musters and many more.
Since the release of his debut album “better late than never” the first single ‘a memory’ has been appearing on Country Music charts all over Australia, including CMC reaching #16, Country Tracks Top 30 reaching #17, Hot Country QLD reaching #1 for 3 weeks, KIX Country Top 20 reaching #10 and many more.
The new album ‘better late than never’ is produced by Simon Johnson from Hillbilly Hut, mixed and mastered by Ted Howard at Rancom Street, Studios.
The album features the talents of musicians and Singer/Songwriters such as Glen Hannah, Aleyce Simmonds, the Davidson Brothers and renowned international session guitarist, Brent Mason.

As Jason Lee released his 2nd single “Up a creek” with a video clip to coincide, Jason Lee was announced the 2010 winner of the Capital News Australian Independent Rising Male for the Southern Star Australian Independent Country Music Awards. Up a creek debuted into the Country Tracks Top 30 Charts at #29 and reached #8 after a staggering 9 weeks.
After a highly successful year, 2011 has already seen Jason Lee nominated for a swag of awards such as; CMC (Country Music Channel) New Oz Artist of the year, Peoples Choice Awards – Male Vocal, Best Song, Best Clip, Best Album & Most Promising Rising Star.
In February 2011, Jason Lee was also named a top 2 finalist in 3 categories of the Victorian & National Country Music Awards where he took prize possession of all three awards nominated. “National Male Vocalist of the year, National APRA Songwriter, National Heritage song of the year.”
August 2011, saw Jason nominated for the AIADA’s for “Best Video Clip” for Up a creek. A track from Jason’s album, “Ordinary Guy” was just released with a video clip showing on CMC. Ordinary guy is the 3rd single from Jason’s album, “Better Late Than Never”.
Although Jason has released his new single ‘ordinary guy’ in July, previous singles are still receiving nominations in various awards such as the 2011 Southern Star Australian Independent Country Music Award held in October 2011 as part of the Mildura Country Music Festival.
New single “Ordinary Guy” currently sitting at #20 on Country Tracks Top 30 country chart.
