The Country Music Club of Boyup Brook (CMCBB) was formed in 1979 and the first Festival held in 1986. The Club was designed to create cultural and social opportunities for families, which would improve quality of life in regional Western Australia. In February 2010 the Country Music Club will be celebrating 25 continuous years of hosting WA’s biggest Annual Country Music Festival, with the dates set for 18th-21st February.

This is a wonderful and exciting time for the Club and Festival as the event has grown into the most exciting, unique, colourful and successful country music event in Western Australia. The overall Country Music event is stepping up and making a name internationally and nationally. We are proud to make Boyup Brook an enticing destination, add in all activities and it will be simply irresistible in February, 2010 when the town comes alive with country music, the food & wineries.  

The  major activity of the Club is to organise the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival which is a relaxed, refreshingly authentic, four day festival, and incorporates the West Australian Country Music Awards, the Boyup Ute & Truck Muster, a Street Carnival, Concerts, Workshops and Western Australia’s largest Bush Poets Breakfast. For 2010 we anticipate including a Food and Wine Fiesta and an Art Exhibition. This is the most prestigious event on the West Australian Country Music Calendar, with the 2009 event bringing some 15,500 visitors over the four days, to our town and region. The festival is a celebration of our country lifestyles and community spirit. For the past 5 years the Country Music Club has acted as a peak arts body for the town of Boyup Brook and assists in developing programs for annual activities.  

The Country Music Festival is the main fundraising activity for our community, with some 36 local organisations participating and benefiting from the large numbers of visitors attending the event. There are also many benefits with overflows to neighboring towns. There are some 350 volunteers who offer their services in the lead up to and during the festival.

All committee are volunteers who bring a wealth of experience, new perspectives and are constantly  excited about achievements and possibilities. They have considerable organisational and event management skills providing a broad knowledge from a variety of backgrounds. Our committee has dedicated volunteers who make remarkable things happen, working against the odds including the tyranny of distance and limited resources, plus work with a number of other community organisations which help to build on our strengths. It also allows us to develop good/effective working relationships with other community groups.  

Support from your business will enable us to build on our history of past successes. The Boyup Brook Country Music Festival has grown immensely in popularity and is now a well known and respected family show and brings to you a great mix of music, art and culture. The Country Music Club shares a strong sense of community spirit, which plays a vital role in enhancing the social, economic, commercial and environmental prosperity of the town.
