Amber Joy found inspiration in her idols when creating her album of
traditional country music with all the nostalgic charm of bygone-era.
Releases off the album, Best Liar In Town, Not Foolin’ Around and
In YourWildest Dreams all hit the Top 10 charts with a bullet and have been recognized with three nominations in the Southern Stars
Independent Country Music Awards including Album Of The Year.
Her new album has it all, nostalgia, murder ballads, rales of love gone bad and showcasing the cheeky side of Amber, a blues track. The classic tune, In Case You Ever Think of Me was written by Troy Cassar-Daley. Amber says “Troy though it would be perfect with my Loretta Lynn treatment.”
Amber has spent the last two years channeling country queen Loretta Lynn in her production Coal Miner’s Daughter selling out theatres all over Australia.
"This will be my fourth return to one of Australia’s finest country music festivals and I am excited to revisit the sensational town of Boyup Brook.
Since our last trip to WA, myself and The Holy Men have had an amazing tour with our theatre show Coal Miner’s Daughter, selling out theatres around Australia and most memorably WA. I also have a new album that
the fans at Boyup Brook are yet to hear and I’m so thrilled to return to the festival with country music, ‘How It Used To Be.’
But when I ask myself, ‘why am I so excited about going back to Boyup Brook?’ it’s a toss up between the friendly people, the die-hard country music fans, the markets, the cavalcade or if it’s simply so my band mates
can stop asking me, ‘when can we go back to Boyup Brook?’ Can’t wait to see you all in February 2019!”
