BUSKERS 

Shane Dickson

Shane grew up at Harvey Dickson’s Country Music Centre Boyup Brook. Shane is Harvey Dickson’s youngest daughter and has been performing in front of crowds from an early age. Teaching herself to play the guitar at 15 years old Shane has always had music by her side. For the past 18 years Shane has resided in the beautiful seaside town of Dongara in WA’s Midwest. With life experiences including becoming a wife and mother of two daughters Shane has penned down collection of songs that evoke a sense of modern country life.

 

In October 2019 Shane released her debut album of ten original songs titled, ‘ALL IS BEAUTIFUL’. Returning to Boyup Brook in 2020, Shane can’t wait to share her music busking in the street alongside long-time friend Paul Jane on the Saturday of the County Music Festival.

Red Ochre

The Red Ochre Band is a very popular WA band and will be busking in the street and are looking forward to the 2020 Boyup Brook Country Music Festival, the leading Country Music Festival in Western Australia, to be catching up with old friends that we have made over the last 12 years and to make new ones. Country music lovers are a family and it is just such a great atmosphere in Boyup Brook when the town comes alive with the sounds of artists performing all around come. Come and have a chat to us and sing-a-long with our songs.

Paul Davies

Paul is a very well-travelled Country Musician. Playing finger picking tunes from today and yesteryear. You’ll find Paul picking tunes from the big city to one street towns throughout Western Australia.

Always looking for new places to play, come and say g’day.

The "Mike Wilkinson Duo"

Mike on Vocals and Guitar and Libby–Jean Muhling on Vocals and Bass. The Duo perform Original Country Music along with Country Music Covers from Artists such as - Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Slim Dusty, Dwight Yoakam, John Denver, Marty Stuart, Lee Kernaghan, Kris Kristofferson, Brad Paisley, The Bellamy Brothers, Alan Jackson, Glen Campbell, Brooks & Dunn, Charlie Pride and The Eagles amongst others.

Mike & Libby continue with Live Performances, Writing and Recording, working towards a bright future and their love for Country Music.

Sarah Broom

Sarah has been a regular performer in the Perth and surrounding WA country music scene for the last 6 years. She was nominated as a finalist for two music awards at the 2018 “BBCMA for “Female Artist of the Year” and “Independent EP of the Year” for her newly released EP – Keeping It Real. Songs penned by herself.

She loves to sing the traditional country music and strum her guitar belting out songs from the greats of the past and her own originals.

Kathy Carver & Rosie O’Brien

Hiya Folks!  Kathy will be busking in the street on Saturday.  “I’m pretty excited to see some old and new country music friends!  Watch out for the daily schedules for our whereabouts.  We will keep you posted of the details as they come to hand.  Come and say Hi!”

Emma-Clare is a country girl from Busselton, who goes under the artist name 'Heart & Feather'. 

In 2014, she released her first country album 'Chasing Rainbows' and is in the studio again now working on some more songs.

Playing at many local farmer’s markets around the south west, has helped her develop her busking and performance skills, where she shows a big hearted community spirit.

Sometimes playing as a duo under the name 'Hustle & Bustle' Emma-Clare is sure to bring a fun approach to busking at Boyup Brook.

Colin Campbell

Bevan Jones 

I was Born in Boyup Brook & lived there for a short time, my family moved away to a farm life-style, and with country music within the household that has stayed with me throughout my life. I became self-taught in playing the harmonica in my later years and it has given me some opportunities that I would never dreamed of.

I generally play harmonica along with backing tracks of instrumentals and vocals and have busked in Boyup Brook, Nannup and Lancelin. I also play music for the old time dances in the Manjimup area.

Pat Brown

Pat does regular busking at events, markets and does private birthday parties. She makes regular trips down south and play in ten aged homes. She is currently teaching two people to play the keyboard. She sometimes goes under the name of Country Rose Marie.

Rob O’Rourke and Friends

Three friends from Perth will be busking at the IGA site on Saturday 15th February. They play a blend of country, folk and blues.
