& Steve Salt.
My name is Cameron Wilkes and I'm a Singer/Songwriter from Perth. I grew up in a musical family where playing guitars and singing at family get togethers were normal. My father always had a guitar in the house and as a kid I would pick it and play teaching myself until I slowly got better. Then I found my voice when I was 16years old. My wife and I have 5 beautiful kids together. I wrote my first song ‘Angel Girl’ when I became a father to my eldest daughter Isobella in 2004. As time went on work took over andI got into FIFO to provide for my family so unfortunately my music got put on hold until recently. In 2018 I entered one of my originals ‘Top Shelf’ in the NAIDOC Music Awards in the 'Undiscovered Artist' category in which I won. I recently played at the Boyup Brook Harvey Dickson 50th Anniversary and that's where I met Steve Salt. Steve and I have since got together and have been rehearsing to play as a duet. We played together the first time at the Harvey Dickson’s Rodeo.
“Looking forward to performing at the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival and at theUte&Truck Muster with Steve. We can’t wait to see you all there.”
