BOYUP BROOK, WESTERN AUSTRALIA – It is time to dust off your boots, put on your hat and start planning a trip to Boyup Brook – Western Australia’s premier country music festival is making a comeback in February.
The Country Music Club of Boyup Brook has announced the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival will return from February 18 to 20, 2022, after this year’s event was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Festival Music Director Sharon Winter said with the dates for the next festival now confirmed, country music fans around Australia could begin organising their annual journey to the home of country music in WA.
“The possibility of staging the event this November had been discussed but a survey indicated February was the preferred time for it to go ahead,” Mrs Winter said.
“We’ve set the dates in line with the feedback received from the community, and we are excited about bringing you another great long weekend of entertainment celebrating all things country.
“With less than a year to go, the countdown is well and truly on – and we encourage you to start looking forward to another enjoyable event.”
The festival is the biggest of its kind in WA and a favourite on the country music calendar. It traditionally features live outdoor concerts, a street carnival featuring buskers, performers and markets, a ute and truck muster, and the West Australian Country Music Awards presented by LiveLighter.
Mrs Winter said by attending, fans not only enjoyed a fun and friendly outing but also helped to raise money for not-for-profits.
“Over the years, we’ve supported a number of very worthwhile charities, community groups and organisations – all of whom have benefited through the festival,” Mrs Winter said.
